lil nas x + coach
This 2-person costume was designed, tested and fabricated
with help from a team of 8 talented craftspeople
in the five weeks leading up to Lil Nas X’s Long Live Montero Tour.
The light-weight costume was designed to be
ridden by the artist with the ability to kneel
on stage for dismount. All the articulating legs
are operated by an internal pulley system
and the head and neck pivot and nod
by use of the reigns held by the rider.
The eyes are DMX controlled remotely.
